Here's How Waking Up Earlier Has Greatly Benefited Me
How This Particular Sleep-Wake Pattern Provides Many Holistic Benefits
I’ve recently started to practice waking up and starting my day earlier.

And based on my experience so far, it has indeed been a good, wise decision!
By starting my daily routine earlier, I’ve realized several important changes within me, namely
1. I Feel More Empowered And In Control
Previously, I used to wake up later, as a result of going to bed late the night before.
And so, by the time I woke up, a part of the day was already gone. Hence, I would naturally feel like I’d wasted time and that I didn’t have that much of the day left to engage in my usual activities.
This in turn made me feel like I had less control of the rest of the day, given that I now had a lesser amount of time remaining to do things in general.
But now, because I’m waking up and starting my day earlier, I have more hours in the day at my disposal.
This ultimately enables me to feel that I have more control over the day as well as how I choose to spend my time.
2. I Feel More Productive And Fulfilled
By starting my day earlier, I’m naturally able to cover more ground in terms of my routine activities for the day.
Because I have more time at my disposal, I’m able to accomplish as well as achieve more things.
As a result, at the end of the day, I have a greater sense of fulfillment and satisfaction as a result of being more productive.
This in turn, has the greatly beneficial effects of lowering my stress as well as frustration levels in general.
This is a big improvement compared to before when I would wake up later, and thus have less amount of time to carry out my usual activities.
3. Better Health Both Mentally And Physically
In general, by going to bed at a decent time and waking up earlier, we are able to be in sync with our natural Circadian rhythms.
This practice enables our body to be in a healthier state, given that it’s functioning how it’s naturally supposed to be.

If instead, our sleeping habits weren’t in tune with our natural rhythms, we may experience both short-term and long-term effects on our health.
And over time, the wearing down of our bodies’ systems will lead to us being more susceptible to serious conditions and diseases.
Indeed, previously when I was going to bed as well as waking up quite late, even though I got adequate amounts of sleep, I would still feel tired and a bit off throughout the day.
My body wouldn’t feel like it was in a fully rested, functioning state and it was as if something was wrong.
Hence, this just underlies the importance of going to bed earlier and also waking up earlier.
We Must Recognize The Holistic Effects Of Waking Up Earlier
In the end, it’s really important that we wake up and start our day earlier. Based on my experience, the effects are truly worth it.
For some of us, it may be quite challenging as we’re currently stuck in a pattern of going to bed as well as waking up late.
In such cases, it’ll be better for us to change our patterns more gradually.
We ultimately need to realize the positive impacts of waking up earlier on not just our health but on our overall productivity as well.
What about you? How is your waking-up pattern?

I have been waking up early for years. I literally get up at dawn with the birds, their communicative song serenading me. As you write, there is so much benefit in going to bed early in the evening and waking up early in the morning.
I was just telling a friend I wanted to wake up earlier, and go to bed earlier! If I go to bed after midnight, the next day is shot. I think my optimal hrs are 1030-630
