This ultra-capitalist system has turned us into uncaring, cold, selfish individuals.
It has shaped our minds to be constantly thinking about earning more and becoming wealthy.
We’re conditioned to perceive our fellow citizens as competitors for gaining more profits.
Worse still, we perceive those who are poor and underprivileged as either lazy, stupid, or short-sighted. We blame them solely for their socioeconomic struggles and cast negative, harsh judgments towards them.
We criticize them for not being smart or wise in making lifestyle choices that keep them stuck in poverty.
The system itself has always been the main culprit!
While factors of mindset and lifestyle choices certainly affect your life’s trajectory and financial status, those are minor compared to the main factor: systemic issues.
The harsh truth is: the system is the cause of many of society’s problems, especially poverty and general inequality.
This is a system that takes from us, exploits us, and allows most of society’s wealth to be concentrated in the hands of a few. There’s no denying this! It’s truly a rigged system meant to be benefit the elite class at the expense of the majority.
And while it screws us over, it instills messages into our subconscious like ‘If you work hard, you’ll be successful’, ‘If you work hard, sooner or later you’ll be rewarded’, ‘It’s all up to you how successful you want to be’, etc.
But such nice-sounding concepts are only possible if we live in a system that’s genuinely fair, equal, and compassionate towards people. As it is, our system is anything but!
You don’t amass such wealth through pure hard work
Here’s the real truth about the wealthy class, especially billionaires:
In this world, people don’t become billionaires purely because they earned it. Such vast amounts of wealth are rarely accumulated solely by honest means and hard work.
They either:
Inherit a certain portion of the wealth.
Don’t pay their workers decent wages.
Deliberately avoid paying their fair share of taxes.
Monopolize and dominate the market through connections, thus generating more profits for themselves.
Stop solely blaming the poor for their problems!

More of us need to realize these facts of life and start recognizing the system for how one-sided and uncompassionate it is.
We must reject the harmful, deceitful messages that the system instills into us in regards to becoming rich and successful.
More importantly, we should start being more compassionate and empathetic towards the predicament of those in society who are underprivileged or poor.
Having negative, judgmental views towards the poor in society is unhealthy, arrogant, and it won’t help solve their problems.
Rather than having such a mindset, we should be thinking about ways in which we can change the system to help such people.
We must stop being so uncaring, cold, and selfish!

I agree, Raveen, and I think it doesn't just help the poor, but everyone in society to be more compassionate, have a more robust safety net and judge each other less.
Well said! Capitalism has truly poisoned the minds of so many--but the truth can cure people of its manipulations. Keep sharing the truth!
